Lanai’s winemaker Mikael Sigouin of Kaena ( Ka En Na ) has been knocking some great Grenache blends out lately and he deserves the lion’s share of the credit. Mikael Sigouin, a native Hawaiian, makes Rhône varietals for his own label and as assistant winemaker at Fess Parker Winery. The Grenache from Kaena, which means “potential for greatness” in Hawaiian, is the star of his proprietary lineup, but the Hapa (another Hawaiian term, meaning “of mixed descent”) is a delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Sigouin purchases grapes solely from Santa Barbara County vineyards

Waiting…Fucking can be Grueling. Did you notice how much of our lives are wasted waiting? We wait in lines, we wait at traffic lights, we wait for people to give birth, we wait for results, results for the Pregnancy test. We wait for a lot of shit. Im not mad because sometimes the longer the wait the better the reward. when we wait for the girl to come over, and even the girl to cum. Ok sorry that was deep.
But we do wait for every thing. We wait for our paychecks, our shifts to finish, our drinks from a crowded bar, our food from our server. We wait at the airport 2 fucking hours early for a long ass flight to only sit and wait longer. We could be dying and we have to wait in the doctors office for him to get to your room. We wait for a lot of shit, Litterly! we sit on the toilet and wait for our shit to make its way down our colon to our Ass.
Waiting….Your waiting right now! Waiting to fall a sleep, waiting to finish reading this! We wait for the Superbowl commercials we dont even watch the dam game anymore! we wait for the last 2 minutes of the game, we wait if stadium traffic after the UH game is finished. we buy concert tickets and wait for the artist to come, we wait in our seats while they act like stars and enter the stage late.
we wait on a lot of stuff. We wait almost a month to buy a house! SO much paper work, they make us wait. And if you are a person who doesnt like to wait People tell you be patient! which is a nice way of saying, “WAIT”! Thanks for reading this and checking out my BLOG, guess what now you have to wait till I write another one!
Today we picked up the first bottles to come from the vineyards in Santa Ynes, CA. Check out “Look Me In The Eye” Wine by @LanaitheDJ. Video by @DocRock
As the economy is bad and people are becoming jews and Chinese with there money I have gone the other way. I look at Opportunity as one of the greatest inventions known to man. Most people will sit, ponder, and worry and try to figure out what the world is going to do next. We sit and watch from the sidelines and try to figure out how are we going to get in the game.
Now that I have some time on my hands Doors have been flying open everywhere. First up, Golden Opportunity to make some money off of some real estate. a lot of people don’t know but I got involved with some cool cats on a few big real-estate projects. Shawn Boyd and Adam Lee. In the next couple of months you will here on the radio, on TV about my building that will be up for sale.
“Da Tabura” located in Makiki will have 22 Newly renovated condos up for sale including my fully loaded apartment. With the genius minds of Adam and Shawn we have put together a killa first time home owner “pimp Pads” very affordable very clean and modern. Equipped with wireless Internet, cable, Granite counter tops, brand new slick appliances you cant go wrong for the price.
We have found many new Loans, and programs that Obama has made available for huge tax breaks. If you wanna see kind of what we are doing check out 1402piikoi.com People are gonna trip when you hear what we are gonna do….
Finally finished the wine and it’s ready for bottling May 15th. Having a launch party May 29th 6:30pm at Stage in the Design Center. So much work to get a new venture started. 2 years in the making and its finally time.
When ever I launch something new I get Anxiety and excitement. Ive realized that alot of this emotion is some what of a fear to succeed. When I started Island 98.5 from scratch I had this same feeling, almost like the jitters. The feeling you get when you have to speak publicly. I don’t have stage fright, and rarely get nervous but why the fear? I put so much time and thought into everything I think I make my self worry of failing. Ive been fortunate to create a ton of things from radio stations, to TV shows but it is time to take it to the next level. its my turn to go Pro, I know most of you will really like our wine. And if you are not a wine drinker you should be open to trying it and expand your mind with some culture.
Jesus Drank wine, the Romans drank wine, that’s telling you this shit go’s deep back to the real OG’s. Kings and Queens use to toast each other by looking in each others eye’s. Italians believe you will get 10 years bad sex if you don’t do it. So much History and culture in wine and the vine. I will be doing tasting all over the State and I hope to catch some of you to try it. I think when you learn how to drink wine you will appreciate the many different flavors it has, cause its nothing like Mad Dog 20/20.
Starting May 29th it will be hitting these fine restaurants. Stage, Amuse Wine Bar, Ruth’s Chris, Azure, The Pacific Club, Hale Koa’s fine dinning room, and Formaggio’s. it will also be in a few retail stores and will let you know where in a few weeks. Hope to see you guys at one of the tastings.
Tickets and information will be out next week. If you have any questions ask!
Come check out some funny flips Kick it on stage live. Rex Navertte, Joey Gueilla, Ron Josol, Kaleo Pilanca and Lanai. get your tickets now at islandtix.com Show starts at 7pm April 11, 2009 Dole Cannery.
